Pismo Beach is one of the “5 Cities” on California's Central Coast. The city is a well-known and popular tourist destination, and tourists come for its wineries and many beaches. Pismo Beach is located halfway between the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles.
A scenic classic beach town, you can enjoy long white beaches for strolling, taking in spectacular sunsets and other seaside activities, including riding it’s famous dunes on a ATVs, horseback riding, surfing, body boarding, kayaking or fishing off its famous pier. This 1,200-foot pier is the great for fishing and strolling, and it is close to the Pismo Beach city’s shopping area.
The region enjoys a temperate Mediterranean style climate, though the summers here are quite cool and the overall change in temperatures from season to season is quite minimal, staying within a consistent range. The city incorporated on April 25, 1946, and comprises roughly 13.5 square miles.
